Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
I am a disciple of the Salatin style of integrative, rejuvenative, sustainable agriculture. I try to improve, and/or restore my land through my agricultural practices.

Additional Information
I believe strongly in using heritage breeds, heirloom varieties of plants, and in doing everything on a size appropriate scale. My use of the land does not destroy it, but attempts to improve it while producing clean and wholesome food raised in a humane manner. I am just one person, but this is MY part in trying to heal a wounded world and its people...including myself.

#10098 Premium Apricot Smoking Wood
Order number of packages. Ressler Farms is offering a limited supply of Premium Apricot Smoking Wood for your smoking and grilling pleasure. My smoking woods are chemical free. I have never sprayed any of my trees with any substance. Apricot wood is most similar to Hickory wood, but provides a milder and sweeter smoke that many describe as fruity in nature. It is perfect for poultry, fish and pork, but is also considered well suited to wild game and beef. My woods are harvested, debarked if necessary, and then cut and chopped into small chunks for smoking and grilling. To use, you may soak the wood in water for 30 minutes or overnight. However, experts agree that with larger chunks, soaking is unnecessary. Place the soaked or dry wood directly on hot coals, in a smoker box or wrapped in heavy duty foil with holes on top or the sides. The smoke will vary with the heat level. Smoking woods are traditionally sold by volume. This wood is sold in volumes of 231 cubic inches, the volume of 1 gallon, as in a 1 gallon zip lock bag.

#10480 Premium Pear Smoking Wood
Order number of packages. Ressler Farms is offering a limited supply of Premium Pear Smoking Wood for your smoking and grilling pleasure. Pear wood, much like my other fruit woods, provides smoke that is slightly sweet. Its subtle smoke flavor is quite similar to apple wood with a mildly sweet, woodsy flavor that is sufficiently dense to please even the most discriminating chef. It works marvelously well with poultry, game birds and pork. My smoking woods are chemical free. I have never sprayed any of my trees with any substance. My woods are harvested, debarked if necessary, and then cut and chopped into small chunks for smoking and grilling. To use, you may soak the wood in water for 30 minutes or overnight. #10356 Premium Pecan Smoking Wood
Order number of packages. Ressler Farms is offering a limited supply of Premium Pecan Smoking Wood for your smoking and grilling pleasure. My smoking woods are chemical free. I have never sprayed any of my trees with any substance. Pecan wood has a mildly nutty or fruity flavor that is similar to Hickory. However, Pecan will burn cool and offer a richness of character. You will not be disappointed. It can be likened to a smoother version of Hickory. It may be used for longer lengths of time for smoking larger pieces of meat, such as briskets and pork roasts, or even large cuts of fish. My woods are harvested, debarked if necessary, and then cut and chopped into small chunks for smoking and grilling. To use, you may soak the wood in water for 30 minutes or overnight. However, experts agree that with larger chunks, soaking is unnecessary. Meats: Beef

Prod.IDProduct Name [About Producer]Prod.TypePrice
#16761 Beef - Grass Finished - Brisket
Order number of packages. You will be billed for exact PROCESSED weight (approx. 2 - 3.95 pounds) Our beef is grass finished beef. All of our cattle are either born on our farm, or if we bring them in, they will spend at least 1 year on our pastures. We use no chemical fertilizers on our pastures. We do not use growth hormones/steroids, chemical wormers, antibiotics or other medications on our cattle. We take our beeves directly from pasture, to the processor, located only 8 miles from our farm. We don't finish them on grain, as feeding grain to a ruminant is completely unnatural. God gave cattle a multi-chambered stomach so that they can process and extract all the nutrition they need from grass. You see the term "grass fed" used an awful lot these days. What does that even mean? All beef was grass fed at some point, even the nasty stuff you can buy at any supermarket. All beeves spend at least part of their life as "grass fed". The difference is in how they are “finished”. Finishing cattle on grass means that they will have much higher levels of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), proven to be a cancer fighting compound, as well as higher levels of Omega Fatty Acids. That all ads up to healthy beef, raised in a humane and sustainable manner - available from Ressler Farms.

Order number of packages. You will be billed for exact PROCESSED weight (approx. 0.9 - 1.25 pounds) This is a new recipe from a new processor with no MSG in it. When I go for breakfast sausage, I'll always choose a spicy sausage if given a choice. Personally, I've never been a big fan of any breakfast sausage. For my taste it is usually too fatty or too heavily flavored with spices or seasonings. I think this hot sausage nicely balances these elements into a great breakfast experience. Our processor takes our pasture raised hogs and makes this great tasting product that I think you will enjoy as much as I do. We purchase weaned piglets from a local breeder and bring them home to raise on pasture. These hogs are not vaccinated or medicated, their tails are not docked, and they are allowed to root and wallow to their heart's content. Their supplemental feed is an all vegetarian feed that is free of animal byproducts, hormones, antibiotics or other medications. They also receive cracked corn.
