The sun has been shining and they are actually growing! I believe the leafy veggies help stave off colds and flu.There have been no pesticides or sprays of any kind, used on this produce. Remember Ms Muffin is still available in Peach and Grape. Ms Muffin is a MIO product. It's not only delicious, it's good for you! Made from Berries and Peaches grown right here in Oklahoma and all ingredients are natural. No corn syrup or concentrated juices. We use only organic based pesticide and at this time of year Nothing has been sprayed on any of our veggies. They are totally pesticide free. The heritage that my husband and I were blessed with, growing up in a farming family, has been invaluable in building our client base thru the years at Farmers Markets in OKC, Norman and Edmond. We are always thinking of our customers when we are planting, harvesting and preparing our goodies for sale. We feel very blessed to have this opportunity to sell our produce to fellow Oklahoman s and hopefully those blessings are extended to everyone that enjoys the fruits of our labor. Highlights this Month Ms Muffin jams are so delicious because of the home grown fruit that is used! The fruit and berries are so sweet and delicious that less sugar is required. Nothing artificial in Ms Muffin! Less sugar, all the vitamins! For example, the Grape jam is only 25 calories per tablespoon! The Peach is made from the most delicious, hand picked, white peaches! Only 30 calories per tablespoon. Only Ms Muffin could get that much fruit in a pint jar! As it says on the label, "Enjoy the taste of Summer all year long!" Don't forget the Leafy Veggies! Unless we have a hard freeze we have LOTS of spinach, kale, salad mix, collards, and arugula! Another BIG plus about buying our veggies, there have been absolutely NO sprays or pesticides used on any of the produce. My Mother visited us during the Holidays and she was amazed that it only took 3 to 4 minutes to saute the spinach, kale, etc. The difference is that this produce is picked fresh from the garden. No artificial preservatives, no chemicals, fresh picked by our hands to your yours! Tender and choked full of vitamins and flavor. A culinary delight! We think our Oklahoma grown Spinach is the best Spinach you can fine anywhere in the world!If you have tried fresh homegrown spinach you know there is NO comparison to canned or processed. Our spinach taste great, is uniquely healthy and very easy to prepare. Here is the way we like to prepare Spinach; Wash your spinach in a colander, pour 1/4 cup olive oil into large pot over medium heat or enough oil to grease bottom of pot, start adding damp spinach to pot with a little salt and pepper, making layers, add a little more olive oil, more Spinach, salt and pepper, then toss as if you were making a salad. Put on lid and steam for approx 5 minutes, stir again. It cooks very fast this way because it is fresh from the garden. You will not believe how truly great this taste.
