Farm Raised Grain Fed Beef and Free Range Eggs About Us Kastl Farms is a family owned and operated farm and has actively participated in the Payne County area for more than 30 years. We are active in the Payne County Cattleman's Association, Payne County Premium Sale, and Perkins-Tryon Ag Boosters Club. Kastl Farms, located south of Stillwater, raises commercial cattle, wheat, wheat for wheat-grass juicing, Bermuda hay, prairie hay, and wheat hay. Quarter horses are also raised, trained, and sold. Kastl Quality Beef offers the highest quality meat that one can purchase and grades high choice. We put our experience, education and knowledge of cattle and the importance of health, feeding and quality control into each pound of processed beef. Our cattle are Black Brangus with Brangus and Angus Bulls. The cows are medium to large cows and excellent milkers that really put the size on their calves. Our beef is processed from young animals, usually heifers, born and raised on our farm in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Our calves are born here on the farm and do not receive any antibiotics or any animal by-products, a practice that has never been used on our farm. Sick calves will be removed and treated and sold at market. Our feed is made from grains we have grown and corn that is grown locally. We work intensively on herd management and quality control and we feel this makes our beef the best you can purchase for your family. The cattle are fed 145 days depending on the weather. Our custom processor is Big Country Meats in Enid,Oklahoma. The facilities are clean and the service is great. The cuts of beef are packaged in clear vacuum sealed packages. Choice beef has a medium amount of fat and marbling, which is interior fat that cooks out and is perfect for the consumer who likes to purchase the best beef possible. We offer 100% whole ground beef that is 90% lean, in bulk, 1-2 pound packages and 1/3 pound patties in a package of four as well as chili grind. All our beef is vacuum packed and processed in a local federally and state inspected processing plant. BEEF JERKY. We have found the most popular variety is Medium Peppered and it is sold by the pound in bags or in refillable canisters. SIDES OF BEEF. We have been selling sides of beef and we will resume this at a later date unless we have some serious inquiries. This requires a non-refundable deposit of $300.00. Additional Information Our beef is registered with the Made in Oklahoma program. Eat Beef and Enjoy! In over 20 years we have never had a un-satisfied customer, should this ever happen a refund will be given upon the return of the unused, frozen meat in original condition. Highlights this Month We have added Free Range, Non-Medicated Hens to our Product list. We have about 85 Sex-Linked Cinnamon Queen hens. We gather quite a few each day but the quantities vary upon the weather. The hotter it is the fewer the eggs. September should really get them kicked off for laying more. These eggs are large and extra-large brown eggs. The ladies are put up at night so we will still have them the next day but they are free to roam around and eat anything they want. They are fed feed that is not medicated and all natural grains from the farm. |
