Baby Shower/Welcome Gift, Diapers, Receiving Blakets About Us In the past, when I would go to a baby shower I never wanted to just give diapers as a gift. I always thought it was boring, but as a new mom I appreciated receiving diapers more than I would have guessed. So, I tried to think of a fun way to present diapers. I had received a couple of diaper cakes at my showers, and I thought they were great. In the meantime I noticed a trend of serving cupcakes at showers and parties, rather than traditional cakes. So, I set out to make a diaper "cupcake". Browse through our Products for Sale Ingredients These cupcakes are not to eat! They're made of (new, unused) disposable diapers, receiving blankets, and smiles! Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) I wrap disposable size 1 diapers (usually always Huggies Supreme or Pampers Swaddlers) with receiving blankets, secured with pearl topped pins, in such a way as to create the look of a very large cupcake or other tasty treat. Next I adorn the product with useful toppers such as baby socks, washcloths, or bibs that I normally fashion into roses. Lastly, I set the finished product on a cake board and wrap the finished piece; sometimes in tulle, or lately with reclaimed clear plastic bags. Other construction materials I may utilize are chenille stems, tape, rubber bands, elastic, safety pins, and/or ribbon. *I would be happy to construct a "cupcake" out of any of the more earth friendly brands of diapers, such as Earth's Best or 7th Generation. I could even make one out of cloth birdseye diapers if it was requested. I would have to adjust the price accordingly. Additional Information I can TRY to accommodate any special color or theme requests. Again, as mentioned above, I can certainly make accommodations on the type of diaper used to construct the cupcake. |

Prod.ID Product Name [About Producer] Prod.Type Price #11959 Happy Scrappy Tote Bag- Large
Order number of bags. A friend and I collaborated to make some bags out of the abundant scraps of fabric we have between the two of us. Because these bags are made from left over pieces, they're not all a uniform size/shape, although we stuck with a 2-handled tote bag type pattern. They are about as big as or bigger than a plastic grocery bag. They're not lined, there are no pockets... they're just simple bags that I think would make great re-usable shopping bags.$5.00/bag #11553 Totally Terrific T-Totes
Order number of bags. Do you feel guilty coming home with 5 or 10 plastic bags each time you go to the store? Do you decide to buy one or two of those re-usable kinds the store sells, and then forget to bring it back the next time you go? I may have a solution for you! A handy T-Tote! They're patterned after the disposable plastic ones that you get from the store, but they're MUCH more clever and cute! AND, unlike the large, stiff, re-usable kind for sale near the check-out counter, these are soft and can be very compact when not in use. One or two could easily be rolled up and stuffed in a purse so that you always have a re-usable bag on hand. Another great thing about these "Up-Cycled" bags is that many (but not all) of the T-shirts were purchased at local thrift stores (which, as you know, support a variety of local charities). My friend Amy and I have collaborated to make these; I cut them out and she stitches the bottoms. And sometimes we even applique a little something on them- a pear or heart or whatever we think would make them special. In the end we have a super cute, one-of-a-kind, re-usable shopping bag (or gift bag or gym bag) to "T"tote around.$7.00/unit #12986 Tunip Bag
Order number of bags. Our new "Turnip Bag" is ingeniously designed to fold into itself, creating a little turnip shape. It can easily be thrown into a backpack or purse and used for whatever need might turn up. And if you don't carry a purse, the bag's drawstring can be slipped over your wrist while you shop, keeping your hands free and unburdened. The bags are typically made from scrap or reclaimed fabric, although some new materials may be used. When unturniped (unfolded), the re-usable tote bags are approximately 17" x 19" and have two sturdy handles long enough to go over your shoulder for maximum convenience.$7.00/bag Baby: Gifts
Prod.ID Product Name [About Producer] Prod.Type Price #10620 Custom Made Diaper Cupcake
Order number of items. Are you craving a memorable yet practical gift for a mother-to-be? If so, my diaper cupcakes may be just what you're looking for! With my delectable diaper delights, the ingredients can be taken apart and used as needed. First, you pick the flavor you want. Each cupcake contains 2 receiving blankets. They're what people see on the outside, they're the "flavor". So for instance, if you know a mom who is making a yellow and blue nursery, you would order those colors and I would find or make receiving blankets that coordinate. Next, you pick the "filling", a.k.a. diapers. Each cupcake contains approximately 45 size 1 disposable diapers. You decide whether you want to go for a traditional favorite, such as Huggies Supreme, or a more earth friendly disposable, such as Earth's Best Chlorine Free. After all this I will "bake" your made-to-order cupcake and top it with something that complements the design. I typically fashion a bib, washcloth, or pair of socks into a rose and add a little silk greenery to offset it. Sometimes I further embellish the finished cupcake with remnants of ball fringe, rick rack, or whatever seems interesting. I love custom orders and I'll do my best to make one to suit your taste, theme, or color scheme. List your desired "flavor" and "filling" in the Notes section, or email me with particulars. If you don't have something specific in mind, you can always just ask for a general boy, girl, or gender-neutral cupcake and I'll whip up a delicious design just for you!$45.00/item
