About Us American Heritage Family Farm is a small family owned and operated farm in the North Central part of Oklahoma. We started with a desire to produce most if not all of our own food, as we wanted quality, clean, humanely produced food that was as good for the soul as it was for the body. We enjoy growing so much our production has increased and we now offer the excess to others who appreciate the best Mother Nature has to offer. Our farm offers grass fed, free range meats, lots of vegetables, and artisanal items that make life more enjoyable and allow us to live a more sustainable life in tune with Mother Nature.We grow and provide for our animals the way Mother Nature intended.We constantly strive for sustainability and balance in nature on our farm.We look to mother nature for our husbandry practices. Our animals are treated with respect and provided species correct living conditions and natural forages. We use mainly heritage breeds, in addition to our prized Black Angus cattle herd, raised free range on pasture and whatever nature provides for their diets. They are rarely supplemented. We have a diversified farm, raising many types of livestock,and vegetables. Our beef production is comprised of various breeds,with purebred Black Angus being the bulk of the herd. Our cattle are raised on pasture at all times. They are NEVER dry lotted.We feed farm raised hay in winter as needed,but also strive to provide cool season green forages as much as possible in winter.Our beef live happy lives in the green pastures where they were born.We process in a small family run USDA and Animal Welfare Approved Facility to insure humane handling of the animals.The facility is also Silliker certified,which documents exceptional cleanliness in food handling practices. Our poultry production is true free range. They derive a large part of thier diet from the pastures and woods they range over, and are free choice supplemented specific to their nutritional needs to maintain optimum health and welfare. We raise the Cornish Rock and various heritage breeds for meat production. Our egg layers are composed of various breeds,mostly heritage, and produce a colorful assortment of eggs with bright yolks and firm whites. Our vegetables are raised with no chemical inputs. On rare occasions when we must treat for disease or pests we only use organically approved products. We strive for healthy soils to produce healthy plants! We select and ship products for our customers with the greatest of care, as if we were shopping for ourselves--(the same way we grow). If at any time you receive a product not up to standards, for whatever reason, please let us know. We will certainly treat you as we would want to be treated and resolve it to your satisfaction. It is very important to us to be capable of providing exceptional product. We also ask that you advise us as to the condition your products arrive, etc. so we will know if our packaging and handling is protecting the product or if we need to make changes.
