Fresh seasonal (and unseasonal) produce -- Microgreens -- Grow to order About Us WE GROW BEAUTIFUL FOOD! High Tides & Green Fields is an 8-acre farm located in Middleberg, Oklahoma, owned by Kip Francis and Dev Vallencourt. We specialize in heirloom tomatoes and peppers, and garden-fresh salad greens. We grow lettuces and Oriental greens in our hoophouses all winter long. In growing our plants and produce, we use no chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. There are very few hybrid plants on the property-- our preference is for heirloom, open-pollinated varieties. As price, quality, and availabiity are more important to us, we do not restrict ourselves to organic seed. We are pleased to announce that we are now Certified Naturally Grown! Grow to Order If there's a special vegetable that you can't find or don't have room to grow, we will happily discuss growing it for you. Vegetables can be grown in quantity for special events, quantity recipes, etc. Browse through our Products for Sale Ingredients Microgreens Microgreens are tiny plants that are eaten when only a few inches high. The plants at that size have all the flavor of a mature vegetable. A radish micro, for instance, tastes like you've eaten a whole radish-- without the burp. Micros are used primarily as a garnish, but also add excitement to sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes, and cheese spreads. A sprinkling of mustard goes a long way on a sandwich or burger. We grow three single micros: Arugula, Mustard, Radish. We also offer a Gourmet Blend that includes lettuce, and a Mild Blend which features alfalfa. We offer our micros in clamshells, but can also deliver an entire 10x20 sheet at a much reduced price. If you have a catering business or restaurant, you may order by the sheet with regular or event delivery dates. Our micros are living plants grown with a soil-less medium that may be stored in the refrigerator or walk-in cooler. With minimal care, micros stay fresh for a week to 10 days. Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) Certified Naturally Grown. No chemicals. No artificial stuff. We grow plants and vegetables with care, seaweed juice, and fish emulsion. We occasionally use Safer Soap or neem oil to kill a bug or two. (And last year we used nothing at all.) Our approach is all natural and as sustainable as possible. We sometimes eat our vegetables direct from the garden and don't have to worry about what's on them. Our Return Policy: Our policy is to make it right, no matter what. If you are not completely satisfied for any reason, please email or call us. Our home phone number is 405-485-2943. We do not take our cel phones to the field, but are very good about returning calls. Additional Information High Tides & Green Fields would like to talk with you about our Grower to Chef partnerships. We are a year-round grower of lettuces, greens, herbs, Oriental vegetables and offer regular delivery days to the Oklahoma City area. We not only grow beautiful food, we know other farmers that do, too! We can fill your food shelves with the best naturally grown produce at a reasonable price. Your customers will love it! Highlights this Month We're taking a little break -- just January -- to order this year's seeds and plan the early spring growing season. We're also doing some construction projects in the greenhouse. We'll be back the first of February with some exciting news about our products and our plans for bringing you more beautiful food. Thank you for supporting our little farm! Kip & Dev |

Prod.ID Product Name [About Producer] Prod.Type Price #14270 Cattle Panel Hoophouse Construction Book
Order number of books. Cattle panel hoophouses are an inexpensive structure that can be built to any length (our experience is up to 48') and can be constructed without special equipment or materials. Cattle panels are welded wire, 16'x52" sections available at farm and ranch stores. Our design makes it possible for one person to erect the structure using basic tools; two people can erect and cover an entire house in one day. The result is a structure with 75% of the square footage available for in-ground planting and snug enough for winter growing.
Our construction plan book for the cattle panel house includes source lists for materials, construction detail drawings and photos, suggested reading and website sources, suggested crops for winter production. The materials look at natural insulation, double covers, ventilation, watering, and the challenges of Oklahoma weather.
