vegetables and herbs About Us Chris and I (David)have lived in Bethany for 20 years. We live on 1/2 acre - about a mile east of Lake Overholster. We have been back yard gardening for about 10 years - and August is our first month to try selling. You can see the beginnings of our web site at http://members.cox.net/canddfarm/ We do not use pesticides or herbicides on our beds - and will not be cleaning our produce - so please be prepared for leaves with some bites out of them - and a few bugs along for the ride. Our goal is to build the business over the coming years - to the point where Chris can work the farm full time. We have been buying soil amendments from local garden stores as our soil is pure sand - and I just cannot produce enough compost to keep it healthy. We had a truck load of wood chips delivered this week - so hopefully can compost that down so we have enough amendment for next year.
