Our roots go deep into the soil of Oklahoma, cultivating land staked in the Oklahoma Land Run as reflected by our two Oklahoma Centennial Farms. Our goal is to be stewards of God's creation; to accomplish this goal we measure farming techniques and animal raising practices by environmentally and animal friendly standards. Fairview's Best Organic Flour and Wheat products and Cattle Tracks beef brings "organic to your table." John's Farm is producing exceptional beef, grass-pastured from conception-to-consumption. John is convinced that grass-pastured, combines with organic, is the best way, the only way for our farm. Truly dedicated to quality and strongly committed to the health conscious consumer, we grow beef and wheat to reflect healthy, tasty products. Calves are treated with dignity and respect in the animal-friendly atmosphere that provides sunshine, fresh air, open spaces, and less stress. Animals are free of growth implants, antibiotics, hormones, and animal by-products. Our farmland and pastures are certified organic; therefore, we raise organic feed for our livestock. Calves are grass-pastured from start-to-finish, roaming fields and pastures that are certified organic; they receive a small amount of organic oats and barley for two purposes -- daily feeding helps keep them calm and it also gives us opportunity to supply each one with probiotic. Probiotic is natural bacteria and enzymes found in the ruman. Improved health has been reported from using probiotic; therefore, Aquq-Zyme Plus is fed daily to calves to insure each animal has a good supply of beneficial, live bacteria and enzymes. In other words, John's calves are raised with care - naturally and organically! Cattle Tracks beef is processed at Kiowa Locker Systems, a certified organic processing company. We are very fortunate to be able to process in Kiowa; Kiowa is certified by the OK Dept of Ag and, thus, Oklahoma organic certification follows our product from our farm to ocmpletion of the processed product. Our products are USDA inspected and approved; our private labeling is USDA approved. Cattle Tracks beef was tested to validate the healthiness of the product. The conjugated linoleic acid (CLA, a group of geometric and positional isomers of linoleic acid) has received special attention because of its beneficial properties for human health. A National Academy of Sciences report has pointed out that “CLA is the only fatty acid shown unequivocally to inhibit carcinogenesis in experimental animals”. Cattle Tracks test results -- mg/g lipid is 9.85 According to OSU officials "the content of CLA in the sample of Cattle Tracks organic ground beef falls in the highest range of CLA content reported in the literature for beef." In recent years there has been much interest in the beneficial effects of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 PUFA), known also as ω-3 PUFA or omega 3 fatty acids. The beneficial effects have been well documented and include anti-atherogenic, ant-thrombonic, anti-inflammatory effects and reduced risk of coronary heart disease. Nutritionists feel it is very important to compare the fatty acids ratio, Omega 6 to Omega 3, in considering human nutrition and generally, the recommended average values are ≤ 4. Cattle Tracks average value of 1.86 is impressive as stated, "it is our observation that the Omega 6/Omega 3 ratio for the organic ground beef sample from Cattle Tracks is far below 4, and follows the recommendation of nutritionists to be beneficial for human nutrition."
