DVDs About Us NLS Productions is a family owned company. My husband, Don, and I married in 1986. We have six wonderful children: Andy-20, Matt-18, Aaron-16, Casey-14, Kelly-12, and Sera, 8. Our entire family is involved with this business in some way - carrying equipment, setting up, shooting, tearing down, editing, writing, creative input, music, and label design. It's very much a part time thing at this point in our lives, and something we all enjoy. Browse through our Products for Sale Additional Information Having done wedding videography, we have ventured into new territory with the DVD "Tell Me A Story of Oklahoma". In 2005, we had the pleasure of meeting Judy Howard. Some of you might be familiar with Judy's books - "Heavenly Patchwork I, Heavenly Patchwork II, and Centennial Stitiches-Oklahoma History In Quilts". Judy owned Buckboard Quilts in Okahoma City for over 30 years, recently moving her business home. She sponsored the Centennial Quilt Contest, which was entered by my son, Matthew, and his Oklahoma history class. Judy wanted hosted a storytelling party, at which the contest winners were announced. My husband, Don Giles, volunteered to tape the event. We edited together a video for the participants, then Judy had an idea. How about making another video, this time with a storyteller reading to his 'granddaughter' from Centennial Stitches? She contacted David Hilligoss, a professional storyteller and we were off and running. Judy wrote a script and we shot the video at her home. The 'granddaughter' in the DVD is our youngest daughter, Sera. Don and Matt edited the video, I added the music and voila! . . . our first 'documentary'! So that's the story of this DVD and how it came to be. It was so much fun working on it . . . I hope you'll buy one and enjoy it, too! |
