In December 2008, we decided to buy the Barker & Friends pet treat business for two reasons; 1- To have an UNLIMITED supply of healthy treats for our own 3 dogs; and 2- It has been our dream to have our own family-operated business. Natural Peanut Butter: low-fat source of protein and fiber. Apples/Carrots: nature's source of betacarotene and anti-oxidants. Flaxseed: source of Omega 3, a natural anti-inflammatory; healthy heart. Molasses: iron, minerals, protein. Mint and Parsley: natural breath fresheners. Cornmeal: source of Omega 6, essential for normal skin, healthy growth and cellular integrity. Egg: shiny, healthy coat, protein. Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) I do not use any chemical preservatives, salt, refined sugar, dyes or shortening in my treats. My goal is to keep them healthful and delicious for your pet's enjoyment and your peace of mind. The pet treats are made with only human-grade ingredients. The foundation of each recipe is stone-ground 100% whole grain wheat flour, to which we add things like natural peanut butter, fresh meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, molasses, flaxseed, garlic, brewer\'s yeast, and wheat germ. |
