Order number of potholders. Folks, I have just finished up a big batch of these and they'll often be similar to the quilts and quilt tops that I have listed, but individually pieced and finished. Stock up on these potholders for Hostess Gifts and Potlucks. These potholders are scruffy and fun. They are each different. Let me know if you'd like one with a hanging loop. Some have loops, and some do not. These begin as some combination of natural cotton batting, cotton prints and solids, woven hemp/cotton hand dyed fabrics, hand dyed cottons and thread. The cotton and hemp/cotton dyes are hand-dyed using professional-quality dyes which won't run, fade or color your laundry. Just machine wash them and dry them in the dryer on hot or whatever, like you would any other item. Like all colored laundry, do not use bleach. They just get better and scruffier and more funky than ever over time. You will receive a random choice of color and pattern. But if you have your heart set on one particular one, send me a note about it and I will try to match you up. Order number of bags. Our Baking Bags are designed for use in microwaves for preparing any types of potatoes, corn on the cob, tortillas, bagels, buns & rolls. We use only 100% cotton fabrics in the construction of our bags. Cotton is a natural fiber and will not emit dangerous gases or chemicals when heated in the microwave. We've seen bags on the market made from polyester and glues. Polyester and glue are plastics and when heated emit toxic fumes into the air. This is just not acceptable for use with our family. POTATOES: white, red, or sweet potatoes. Simply wash the potatoes and leave moist, DO NOT PRICK ANY HOLES IN THE POTATO!! Place potatoes in the bag. Close the flap and cook on high, 4-6 minutes, depending on the number & size of your potatoes, and the power of your microwave. DO NOT use the "Baked Potato" button. The cooking time for sweet potatoes in about 30 seconds to 1 minute less than white potatoes. CORN on the Cob: Simply soak the corn (husk on) in cold water for a couple of minutes, then trim off the ends and remove some, but not all , of the outer husks. Place corn in bag. For 2 ears, cook 3-4 minutes depending on your microwave oven. The silks come off much easier and cleaner after cooking. Be careful not to burn your hands. TORTILLAS: Place desired amount of tortillas in bag, heat in microwave 1/2 - 1 minute. Place warmer on the table to keep the tortillas warm. Serve directly for bag. Breads: depending on your microwave 30 seconds to 1 minute is usually sufficient. CARING for your baking bag: Wrapping items in a paper towel prior to cooking will decrease the time between washings. But when your bag needs to be washed here are a few tips to remember. Your bag is machine washable and dry as you would your other cotton clothing.
