The Oklahoma Food Cooperative is a member-owned organization founded and maintained for the purpose of connecting Oklahoma farmers and producers with customers who are interested in buying locally. Unlike other cooperatives that serve exclusively customers or producers for the purpose of savings or monetary gain, the OFC brings both groups under one umbrella to create a sustainable local food system. Our core values are social justice, environmental stewardship and economic sustainability.
We do not have a brick and mortar store; our members do businesses through this website and exchange products through a monthly delivery system supported largely by volunteer and part-time labor.
The co-op itself does not sell anything—products are always purchased directly from individual producers. We believe strongly in the value of knowing your famer. All co-op producers must be approved by our board of directors and undergo an inspection and application process. We realize, however, that each of us has different values, which is why information about each of our producers and their methods are available alongside their product list.
